Why StudyMate exists
Small academic calculations often become confusing at the exact moment a student needs an answer. A gradebook may hide its weighting, a deadline may feel too large to plan, or a word limit may be stated without any sense of the time involved. StudyMate puts those everyday tasks in one place and shows the reasoning beside the result.
What the site covers
The tools handle grades, percentages, study time, deadlines, text counts, basic citations, flashcards, and focused work sessions. The guides slow down the same topics and explain the choices that a calculator cannot make for you.
How a calculation is checked
The code is compared with the formula printed on the page, then tried with an ordinary worked example and awkward inputs such as a missing total, an unusual weight, or an answer outside the expected range. This catches arithmetic mistakes; it cannot make one school grading policy apply everywhere.
Where judgement is still needed
Your syllabus and institution decide grade scales, rounding, repeated courses, exclusions, citation editions, and progression rules. The site provides estimates and planning help. It does not issue official grades or academic decisions.
Point out a mistake
If a result looks wrong, send the values entered, the result shown, and what you expected through the Contact page. For a wording or link problem, name the page and the part that needs attention.
